On October 27, 2016 Victor Efthimiades, Axiom’s Director, delivered a lecture on ‘Innovation in Customer Loyalty’ to Computer Science students of the University of Cyprus, as part of the course ‘Explorations in Computer Science’ (EPL 202 – Winter Semester 2016). This course, under the direction of Prof. Andreas Pitsillides, aims at providing students with an overview of the opportunities and impact of Information Technology in modern societies.
In his speech, Victor explained how Axiom transformed the customer experience by introducing instant benefits on collective behaviour through a new and fast transaction flow and innovative techniques in real-time campaign management. Victor also described the consequential benefits of innovation in loyalty projects, such as the shorter implementation period, lower integration costs and lower infrastructure requirements, which are made possible by continuous innovation in high frequency transaction processing algorithms.
The lecture also featured a Q&A session in which students had the chance to understand the possibilities of creating software and intellectual property that can compete at international level.
