Bank of Cyprus takes over Laiki Bank's operations in Cyprus
As of March 29, 2013, Bank of Cyprus has absorbed most assets and commercial operations of Laiki Bank in Cyprus. Customers of Laiki Bank continue being served in exactly the same manner as before, including the loyalty rewards for the usage of their banking products. Laiki Bank’s loyalty programs had been operated by Axiom’s Merit Loyalty Suite® since 2007. Bank of Cyprus has taken over the administration of those, including the ‘Card & Fly’ travel Points scheme which allow customers to collect travel points and redeem them from 14 different airlines and the ‘Sure Cash’ cash back scheme which credits customers’ accounts with an amount proportional to the usage of their cards.
