‘Antamivi’: the new multi-merchant coalition loyalty program of Bank of Cyprus

From June 2016, Bank of Cyprus customers benefit from a unique and refreshing shopping experience with real-time rewards.

On 8 June 2016, Bank of Cyprus, the country’s largest bank, launched the very first loyalty program in Cyprus that offers instant rewards and redemption to cardholders. Named "Antamivi", the Greek word for "Reward", the program aims at rewarding customers with points, discounts and vouchers for purchases at partner merchants. The entire program is based on Merit Loyalty Suite, Axiom's leading Loyalty management platform, in integration with financial point of sale systems of JCC Payment Systems, the country's dominating acquirer for financial transactions.

As customers shop, they collect points and benefit from personalized and targeted offers from the program’s partners in real-time. Points are accumulated automatically and are available for redemption immediately at all participating merchants, thus allowing customers to pay their purchases either partially or fully with points, wherever and whenever they like. Customers receive feedback instantly on the merchant’s POS receipt, as well as optionally on the Antamivi app.

The Antamivi scheme rewards everyday transactions with Bank of Cyprus cards in more than 140 businesses (500+ locations) all over Cyprus, with more merchants to be announced soon. To date, it has been embraced by some of the country’s leading brands, covering a large portion of the customer’s spending, such as Marks & Spencer (Department stores), Zorbas (Bakeries), Mango, United Colors of Benetton, Nike, Kickers (Clothing), Metro (Supermarkets), Ellinas, Spanias (DIY shops), Gloria Jean’s (Coffee shops), TGI Fridays, Papa John’s, Subway (Restaurants & Food outlets), Stephanis, Bionic (Electronics).

Over the past months, the Axiom team relentlessly worked with Bank of Cyprus and JCC teams at integrating Merit Loyalty Suite with Bank of Cyprus systems and JCC payment technology to bring together Cypriot customers and merchants in this unique program offering a seamless real-time rewards experience at all participating merchants.

Bank of Cyprus’ team is making full use of the capabilities offered by Merit Loyalty Suite and its sophisticated Campaigns, Intelligence and Communications modules for selecting target segments for relevant online campaigns, creating and distributing personalized content, both massively and interactively, as triggered by customer online interaction with the program.

Customers can access all information related to their participation in the program through the dedicated customer portal (www.antamivi.com.cy) developed by Axiom, which offers a modern responsive design and real-time integration with the Merit platform. All customer transactions, the updated account balance, on-going and upcoming campaigns as well as merchant partners with their updated reward rates, are among the information at customer’s disposal at real time. Moreover, customers have access to the Antamivi app on iOS and Android phones, which offers all capabilities of the customer portal, plus real-time targeted push notifications.

Recognized as the main contributors of the program, partner merchants are offered access to the program’s Partner Portal where they can monitor key performance indicators related to daily customer activity as well as the progress of their own campaigns.
